What is Q fever?

Q Fever is not a disease that seems to be terribly common in Virginia (the health department typically reports no more than 5 cases statewide per year), but food animal veterinarians and producers certainly carry a great occupational hazard for exposure. Here is some information from the Virginia Department of Health to help veterinarians with concerns about Q Fever discuss the disease with their healthcare provider.
